Automata
automata (the plural of automaton) comes from the Greek word αὐτόματα, which means “self-making”.
A mixed media experimental project bridging minimalist design, collage, and symbolist illustration. The automata consist of states of shape and form and color to symbolize trauma, transformation, and healing. Capable of acting automatically or without an external motive force, the automata, within a two-dimensional element, presents its finite self to bond a potential infinite self towards the viewer where the memory of the automata is carried forward.
Radix Visus
The root of sight – where the origin of seeing things as they are takes place for the first time through an experience of trauma memory.
Penumbral
A slight shadow appears to eclipse partial vision of what has been known. The shadow is present and requires attention in a manner unknown at this point.
Antechamber
The system of persona presents a glimpse into the anteroom from the antechamber symbolized through the pelvis of new birth as well as origins of old birth. The past must be walked through to gain entry to the gateway.
